The difference between C5 petroleum resin and C9 petroleum resin
Carbon nine C9 petroleum resin is mainly paint, anti-corrosion coating and so on.
The C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin is obtained by cationically polymerizing a diene and a monoolefin in the C5 component by using a C5 fraction of ethylene cracking as a raw material. The density is about 1.0, and the C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin is easily soluble in organic solvents, such as benzene, toluene, xylene, various types of solvent oil, etc., and is insoluble in water. The appearance of C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin is granular solid, the appearance is white or yellow, brittle, easy to generate dust, non-toxic, tasteless, and is non-flammable and explosive. C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin has good adhesion, compatibility, thermal stability and light stability, and can improve adhesive bonding performance, and is an intrinsic viscosity-increasing component of many adhesives. C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin is widely used in hot melt, pressure sensitive adhesive, construction and decoration of the construction industry, automobile assembly, tires, commodity packaging, bookbinding, sanitary products, shoes, hot-soluble road marking paint, colored asphalt and other industries.
Carbon five petroleum resin has high adhesion and low carbon nine adhesion. Carbon five odor is small, carbon nine odor large C5 petroleum resin can be mixed with other petroleum resins, or used as an additive. Because of its good compatibility with oils and fats and other synthetic resins, it can be dissolved in many solvents. It has good water resistance, good acid resistance, low melting point and good adhesion with other substances, so it is used more and more in many aspects. In the application of adhesives, 60% of C5 petroleum resin is used in adhesives abroad. The industry has become a very prosperous emerging industry, involving the construction and decoration of the construction industry, automobile assembly, tires, wood processing, commodity packaging, bookbinding, and hygiene. In the fields of supplies and footwear, petroleum resin is an intensive tackifier for many adhesives, especially new adhesives such as hot melt adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives.
