As the name implies, hot melt adhesives are glues that are melted by heating. So what are the ways to apply glue when using hot melt adhesive?

One. Glue gun

This gluing method is the conventional gluing method of hot melt glue sticks. Generally, a hot melt glue stick with a diameter of 7mm is melted with a hot melt glue gun of about 20W, and then press the wrench to apply the glue to the surface of the object to be bonded. The 11mm diameter hot melt glue stick is heated by a large hot melt glue gun of 100W or more.

Two. Roller gluing

This type of gluing is mainly used in the pearl cotton industry. Put the hot melt glue pellets into the roller hot melt glue machine for heating, and then put the pearl cotton on the roller, and the melted hot melt glue is evenly applied to the surface of the EPE pearl cotton through the roller. This gluing method is suitable for flat and equal-height objects. Some items with uneven and unequal height are not suitable for this gluing method.

Three. Spray glue

This gluing method is suitable for hot melt adhesive pellets. Mainly used for automatic packaging, including automatic carton sealing, carton sealing, handbag, air filter, etc. Put suitable hot-melt adhesive pellets into the hot-melt adhesive machine for heating, and then press the molten hot-melt adhesive to evenly hit the surface of the object to be bonded. Because it is used on automated equipment, this type of hot melt adhesive should be cured fast, otherwise it will fail to bond. Some hot-melt glue sticks, jelly glues, and hot-melt glue blocks can actually be melted and glued in this way.

Four. Apply glue

This gluing method is aimed at the handicraft industry. Because the products are not very regular and the company is not large enough, if the hot melt glue machine is used, it will cause a large cost burden. Therefore, a small hot melt glue furnace or an induction cooker will be used for direct heating. After heating and melting, apply the glue to the surface of the adhesive with a brush or other object. The efficiency of this gluing method is relatively slow, and it is suitable for small workshops or personal use. It is necessary to be careful to avoid being burned by high temperature melting glue.

Five, lighter heating

This is very primitive. Suitable for hot melt glue sticks. For customers with very little usage, this method can be used. Ensure safety during use and avoid being scalded by hot melt adhesive.
